How to reach macerata
By coach: Arrivals to and departures from Giardini Diaz. From and to Ancona: From and to Rome:

By train: Macerata is connected to the main rail-network through Civitanova Marche (coming from either Milan or Lecce) and through Fabriano (coming from Rome). Once you get to Civitanova Marche or Fabriano, take the local train to Macerata. By car: Coming from the Adriatic coast (east coast): take the A14 Motorway (Bologna-Taranto). Take the exit marked Civitanova Marche/Macerata; at the roundabout follow the Macerata-Tolentino road signs and take the SS 77 road to Macerata. Exit the SS 77 at Macerata Sud/Corridonia. Coming from the Tyrrhenian coast (west coast): the shortest route is a mountain one. Cross the Apennines at the Colfiorito Pass. From here you will get to Muccia; keep going until you arrive at a place called Sfercia. From here follow the Macerata-Civitanova Marche road signs carefully and take the SS 77 road to Macerata. Exit at Macerata Ovest/Sforzacosta and at the junction turn to the right. The quickest route is by the A24 Motorway through L’Aquila which joins the A14 Motorway on the Adriatic coast at Teramo. By plane: “Leonardo Da Vinci” (Fiumicino) airport, Rome (to reach Macerata by coach, train or car see above). "Raffaello Sanzio" airport, Falconara Marittima (Ancona); then: - by car: A14 Motorway (Ancona nord) going to Pescara, exit Macerata - Civitanova Marche, take the SS 77 road to Macerata [see above]. - by train: at Castelferretti station take the train to Ancona, get off in Civitanova Marche and take the connection to Macerata; - by coach: Conerobus , line J (http://www.conerobus.it/resources/orari/Collegamenti_Aeroporto_2009.pdf) from Falconara to Ancona; from Ancona to Macerata Contram Bus Company (http://www.contram.it/orario.asp).
